3. There's really no other way to look at it: 2015 Toyota Land Cruiser is a large SUV with a thirst for gasoline that meets his massive profile.
   
   There was a time when the Land Cruiser has been little more than bare-bone off-road ability, but has evolved into a luxury vehicle type-without ever losing its ability to venture away from the curb. In his past, the Land Cruiser knew deserts, mountains, and the Serengeti, but is now best known for his journey through urban jungles and soccer fields.
   
   Even so, the Land Cruiser has not lost its ability to go almost anywhere, if it needs and its places of luxury was very straight in a small niche vehicles that function as arch-rivals for environmentally friendly vehicles such as Toyota Prius. In looks, the Toyota Land Cruiser is not so different from Sequoia much cheaper or almost twin of the Land Cruiser, the Lexus LX 570. Unlike the Range Rover, its shape is almost iconic, and the base price is extraordinarily high - but what other vehicle has inspired the nickname "Terra Crusher" and lived (again) to tell the tale?
   
   Its 381-horsepower V-8 powers massive 5700 pounds, body-on-frame utility vehicles through the four-wheel drive with differential lock that is combined with the robust design suspension to provide hard off-road ability. Will both accelerate the 5700-pound Land Cruiser at highway speeds and over (although with a prodigious consumption of gasoline) and slipping and sliding on slippery rocks away from any highway at all.
   
   But this prodigious talent off-road compromises its usefulness as an urban utility vehicle. The loose steering; the race can be moved unless it is at full load up to eight passengers. And three of them will have to ride in the third row of seats that fold up the sides of the cargo area - not in the floor like most modern crossovers, because that's where he lives the rear axle. In this land of compromise, the latest electronics keep the Land Cruiser happier both on and off the pavement, which controls the way it rolls down and uphill, the road goes through all kinds of terrain, keeping its hydraulic suspension at the right rigidity.
