2014 VORSTEINER BMW M4 GTRS4 3

Vorsteiner celebrating our 10th anniversary this year and to commemorate this occasion, we have developed a special limited edition vehicle, codenamed GTRS4 debut at SEMA Show 2014. The GTRS4 is a full carbon composite conversion lightweight wide body that is based on the 2015 BMW M4 coupe. The design and development of GTRS4 started earlier this year as there were countless hours of testing and modeling that have taken place.

Designing an Icon:
The idea was conceived on a sheet of paper in which our designers have taken into account the previous editions of old wide body, as GTRS3 based on the E92 M3, to show a lineage is the language of design, functionality and performance Vorsteiner.

Our designers concentrated making the organic design lines of the original body of the car, while maintaining full functionality and everyday drivability of the vehicle. It was not just enough to make the widest possible fender as has also been dictated by the ability of the wheel to rotate under load at high or low speed.

We also wanted to ensure the design paid tribute to the heritage racing M3 and family while maintaining the concept Vorsteiner minimalist,

The beginning of a legend:
Once the project has been drafted and concluded the work is 3D scanned the entire body of the building with clear blue laser technology. With our 3D rendering, we digitally surface new body panels and CNC rapid prototypes created to fit on the vehicle.

The most important step was the rear quarter panels because it was very important to create a perfect outline. In order to effectively create, adjust and improve this form, our plasticine traditional in-house craftsmen used to reach proportions seamless and fluid.

Form follows function:
Since the initial launch of the development process, our design team and design worked in tandem to ensure the wider fenders and wheels were functional. We strategically Crafted air ducts for optimal cooling to the front brakes, paying attention to the aerodynamic ventilation for the incoming air to exit.

The front fenders have a total length of 4 inches, while the rear side panels sit 7 inches wider than those of the original form. We have specially designed 3-piece forged wheels in 20x10.5J and 20x13.5J respectively to fit the tire width 275 and 345.

The vehicle is also equipped with signature P Black Pirelli tires for traction and optimum performance. To add the location, our GTRS4 has sleeve KW suspension kit that allows you to adjust the height and retaining original features BMW Dynamic Drive. Adding to the performance, simplicity and versatility, the GTRS4 is updated via ESS Tuning E-Tronic for impressive 550hp at the crank.
